We're getting married!

Devon and Caroline have known each other since they were seven, and really started to become friends when they were in high school. Devon always thought Caroline was "the pretty one" in the youth group at church, and Caroline remembers her crush starting during a mission trip to New York City in 2015. They got super close after that, and quickly became best friends. For the next year they did everything together. Although they knew they had feelings for each other, they remained "just friends". Caroline had just begun to start the journey of being diagnosed with POTS, a health condition that affects your autonomic nervous system, and didn't want to burden Devon with all that the journey would entail. Due to this medical diagnosis, Caroline was homebound, and lost the ability to do many of the things she enjoyed doing, but that didn't scare Devon off, he stayed by her side through the entire thing. They began dating after a mission trip to Malawi, Africa, where they both realized they were meant to spend the rest of their lives together, and have been dating ever since!

Devon exceeded Carolines dreams when it comes to the proposal. (She had always thought he would pop the question at a sporting event, or in the middle of whatever Devon's favorite restaurant was at the time.) Instead, Devon contacted a friend of Caroline's who was a photographer. They staged a giveaway in hopes that Caroline would enter, the prize being a free photoshoot! Caroline entered the giveaway almost immediately after it was posted. A few days later the winner was announced and, Surprise! It was Caroline! Later in the week she asked Devon if he wanted to have their pictures taken, and that she would plan the rest. So that's what they did! Caroline picked the day, the time and even the outfits they would wear! The following week they got dressed, drove to the park, and met their friend to have their pictures taken. At one point during the shoot, Devon was behind Caroline on one knee while she was facing the camera. The photographer then told Caroline to turn around for the next pose and as she did, she saw Devon grinning from ear to ear and realized that the day she had been waiting for had finally come! Devon looked up at Caroline and said, "I love you and I have wanted this for so long, Will you marry me?" Caroline was ecstatic and said "YES!" The rest of the day was full of smiles, joy, and excitement! Caroline and Devon can't wait to be married and spend the rest of their lives together!
