Please wear whatever makes you feel happy, confident, comfortable, and a little dressed up! For guests attending the ceremony at Gooseberry Falls, we recommend comfortable shoes and layers.
Gooseberry Falls: Parking is available on a first come, first served basis in a small lot right by the Lakeview Shelter. Guests may also choose to park near the visitor center and hike down the trail to the shelter. Guests will need a vehicle permit which can be purchased for $7 for the day or $35 for an annual pass to all Minnesota state parks. Vikre Distillery: Free street parking is available on Sundays throughout Canal Park. There are also several public lots in the area, which may or may not incur a fee during the time of the reception.
Though we would love to include all friends and family in all events, due to the small venue space at Gooseberry Falls, we will have an intimate afternoon ceremony primarily with family. We can't wait to raise a toast and celebrate with our wider community at our cocktail and cake reception in the evening!
Yes! At Gooseberry Falls, coffee/tea, dinner, and dessert will be provided. Please note that alcohol is not permitted in Minnesota state parks. Snacks, cake, and drinks will be provided at Vikre. While select cocktails and mocktails will be provided at no charge while supplies last, a cash bar will be available should guests wish to purchase additional or alternate drinks.
Goosberry Falls is approximately a 45-50 minute drive north from Duluth on Highway 61. Public transportation is not available, so out-of-town guests will need access to a car. Please reach out if you will not have access to a car so we can help connect you with other guests to arrange potential rideshares! Should you choose to take the scenic drive up the shore from Duluth rather than Hwy 61, please account for extra time. This road makes the drive a little longer, but it is very beautiful!
