We're Getting Married!

Carmen and Nick first met while working at the Holly Hills Country Club pool. Nick was a lifeguard and Carmen worked in the Snack Shop. Caitlyn, Carmen's best friend and Maid of Honor, told a friend who told a friend who told Nick that Carmen wanted to go out with him. Thus, through a disastrous game of telephone, Carmen and Nick started dating.

Carmen and Nick's first date was supposed to be mini golf at Adventure Park. Unfortunately, it was raining on the day of their first date. Nick, not one to give up, found an indoor mini-golf place in Rockville. So, Carmen and Nick went to Monster Golf for their first date, where Nick totally let Carmen win (although, she still claims she beat him fair and square). Then they went to Dave and Buster's at White Flint Mall and ended the night at Jimmie Cone for the perfect first date.

Nick and Carmen had been dating for nearly five and a half years when they took a trip to New York City in December of 2019. Carmen had never been to the city before, and Nick was so excited to show her. They went to the Met, Columbia University (Carmen had to see the alma mater of Ruth Bader Ginsburg), Tower One, and Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas Tree (is it even winter in New York if you don't go see the tree?). On their last night of the trip, they went back to the Christmas Tree because it was Carmen's favorite part of the trip. That is where Nick bent the knee and asked Carmen to marry him!
