Joey & I met in highschool during my senior year & his sophomore year. We both were in the same friend group and would go to the Mets spring training games sometimes after school. At the time I didn’t have a date to my senior prom & one day at a Mets game surrounded by all of our friends he had the announcer ask me to prom for him. Of course I said yes and we remained friends! After I graduated we both went on to pursue our dreams. He went on to play college baseball & I became a flight attendant. After two years of being based in NYC I decided it was time to move home, during which Joey had just moved back from college. On a night out, we reconnected and the rest is history! March 26th, 2023 surrounded by our family and friends, & once again at a Mets Spring Training game, Joey got down on one knee after I threw out the first pitch & asked me to marry him. Right back where it all started!
