The first night I met Carly was on April 29th 2017 at a NYC staple called Puglia. We were at a work event and it was her first time meeting everyone on the team. Within minutes of introducing myself to her, she was being lifted up in her chair while dancing and waving her napkin. To no surprise… Carly instantly became a fan fav. We worked together for two years and during that time we leaned on each other to get through the ups and downs and even formed a healthy competition. Throughout our time working, we always made an effort to find small moments to be alone. Whether it was sneaking away from the desk to grab a coffee or leaving a happy hour early to grab a drink(s) - these were my favorite moments. Then the day came when Carly took another offer and after that we had both let life get in the way for a bit. In the summer of 2019, I was out with friends and we bumped into each other for the first time in over a year. I immediately ran into the bathroom and texted my friends… my heart had stopped. It was as if the universe was telling me to not let her slip away again. From that night on (although Carly was in another relationship at the time), I knew we would end up together. In March of 2020 (Carly was single again) we had a few dates together before the world shut down. Soon after, we both decided to move back home for what would be 3 months… Carly and I talked every single day. She even taught me yoga while getting certified and we made it a nightly routine to watch tv together virtually. The following year on March 14th we ‘officially’ started dating and I never looked back. I feel so lucky to be marrying my best friend and beginning this next chapter of life together. Getting married in Beacon is a dream for us as we’ve shared many trips together upstate and we felt it was a perfect spot for our “I Dos”. We hope you’re able to join us in this celebration and we can’t wait to see you there!
