From high school fashion class, to drunken nights together at DU when Kelsey was a freshman there, to trips to Nantucket island, to at-home photo shoots and other girly shenanigans, through adulthood, supporting one another through sorry and loss, to maintaining a long distance friendship, it's no wonder after these 15 years of true best-friendship, that Kelsey would be Carly's Made of Honor. Everything throughout our friendship has only made it grow stronger over the years and Kelsey and Carly will be best friends for eternity! Kelsey is adventurous, caring, hard-working, talented, hilarious, loving, and kind. She lives with her husband and two cats in the gorgeous Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They spend their weekends skiing, on the river rafting, climbing mountains, hiking, camping, all the outdoorsy things!
Alec Macauley
Best Man
The Best Man aka young macaw, lover of the sea, snow, and mountains. Alec has been my best friend from the very beginning and the choice for him to be my best man was automatic. We have shared many an adventure throughout the years and as siblings, there have been good and bad, but I wouldn’t trade any of them for the world. We’ve come a long way from him throwing toys cars at my head, he knows me better than anyone and the love and trust we have as brothers will always be something I cherish. I am proud to call Alec my brother and best man.
Sean Gurley

Sean, once the ultimate nemesis in the soccer world, now, over the last few years, has become one of my best friends. From young clubs soccer days, high school, and through college we had always played against one another in a constant cross town rivalry. I can confirm that it was Sean who finally extended the olive branch and brought me in to coach at the same club he did, from there, we were finally on the same team. Looking forward to more surf, soccer, and a couple cheeky pints at the seagull.
Katherine Hall

Carly and Katherine first met in yoga class introduced by a mutual friend. From then on, their friendship grew stronger into now best friends. They got to know each other one-on-one and supported one another through tough times of loss. Carly and Kat like to cook together, make cocktails, go to happy hours, travel and much more as Kat is always down to do anything! We've gone on two memorable girls trips with just the two of us, one to Ojai and another to La Fonda and Valle de Guadalupe along with many group trips ranging from Bajamar to Tulum, to San Simeon/the Central Coast, to Arizona and finally Nantucket where she witnessed our engagement! Many more to come. Katherine is an incredibly talented baker and amazing at crafts. Kat is creative,thoughtful, fun-loving, adventurous, open, giving, kind, funny and a true friend.
Marianna Murphy

Marianna is Carly's cousin! They hold the fondest memories together from childhood to now, jumping on the trampoline, playing games, spending every major holiday together, and just laughing and always having fun spending time with each other and also her four siblings. There was always a lot going on at their Haneke household which Carly enjoyed getting to be a part of since she was an only child. Marianna recently got married to her husband, Jordan, last May 2022 and they are now expecting their sweet baby girl to arrive in June!! They are going to be the most amazing, loving, and caring parents. Marianna is one of the most caring people Carly has ever met. She is filled with joy, laughter, love, positivity, and the spirit of God. Her laugh and smile are absolutely contagious! Carly is so excited to be an auntie to her sweet little baby girl.

A member of the original Encinitas & Cardiff crew, he would tell you that he was the one who taught me how to surf.... he might be right. He and his family were responsible for taking me on my first proper surf trip to Scorpion Bay. The amount of memories, shenanigans, and just plain good times are far too many to count. I have known Dylan for the majority of my life and he has been there through all the good and tough times. I couldn’t be more stoked for him and where he’s at today.
Andy Joplin

Another Encinitas & and Cardiff original, he has been part of more memories than I can remember. A few that stand out would be surfing Money Trees before school and nights in Daniel Sission’s camper watching surf movies and sneaking out to run around Cardiff. Andy is someone that always makes time for people, a quality that I can’t rate high enough. He’s far and away one of the coolest cats you will ever meet and I’m lucky to be friends with him all these years.
Maddie Haneke

Maddie is Carly's cousin! They have the greatest memories together from back when Carly babysat Maddie and her two sisters one summer- we went to the pool, toy store, made newscast videos and cooked mac n cheese; to spending all major holidays together, to spending more time together as adults when Maddie was going to UCLA, to now both planning our weddings on the same year! Maddie is getting married to Tristan on October 8th, in Colorado. Maddie is a pilot in the navy and she is so impressive. Maddie handles every major life change that she has to go through as a part of the Navy with such grace, confidence and nonchalance. Maddie is so humble about all her life accomplishments and that's just one of the reasons Carly loves her. Maddie is courageous, hard-working, hilarious, loving, caring and tenacious woman. Carly admires her so much.
Megan Mayall

Megan and Carly met in San Diego from mutual friends, their friendship started with partying together, then grew to spending quality time as friends, vacationing together, happy hours, birthdays, holidays, boat time and everything in between. Their friendship has flourished far beyond their initial party days into true friendship! Now, flash forward and they are both planning their 2023 weddings! Megan marries Brandon on September 16th in Coronado! It is exciting to share in this special time together. Megan is a bubbly, hard-working, easy-going, funny, conscientious, caring, kind and loving friend! She enjoys hiking, going to Fiesta island with her dog Turbo, being in nature, fitness, and spending time with her boyfriend, friends and family.

The “Arsht Man” a dominant defender and expert trash talker on the field, and a fairly competent golfer. One of the younger of the group but wise beyond his years, Arsht and I connected over our appreciation for a variety of different sports. During our time at UCSD, we lived on the same street and, sure enough, whenever a sporting event was happening, he was on it, walking down to watch with a beer and some laughs, these were great times.
Scott MacBride

A fellow surfer and good time proponent, Scotter is a classic individual, always down to partake in whatever is going on big or small. Some of my best memories will always be post-surf BBQ’s and cervezas at the Jupiter pad in Leucadia. Scott is a master climber and hopefully that career is over because he’s scared the sh**t out of us a few times which I'm sure he takes great pride in.
Melony Caruso

Melony and Carly's friendship has grown so much over the years! It seems like with each trip they've shared in together, their friendship has grown. One of their most memorable trips together was Tulum for Melony's birthday. We spent the trip in our stunning Airbnb, exploring the cenotes, enjoying amazing dinners out, swimming in the warm ocean, going to beach clubs, and walking the streets of town. We recently visited her home town in Arizona and got some truly quality time together. Melony now lives in Knoxville where she bought her home. She is a school teacher and is also a certified yoga instructor. Carly got to attend her certification class back in San Diego! Melony is someone who, when she has a belief, she sticks to it with full-force and Carly admires that about her. She is very into self-improvement.
Darby Attard

Darby and Carly go way back from high school days on the dance team! I remember the days when we would carpool together to and from the studio and laugh our asses off. Flash forward to when Carly was up at Cal Poly and Darby and Claire both came up to visit her, and once again, laughed our asses off. We have stayed close regardless of the distance (with Darby living in Denver) and we always just pick up right where we left off. Darby is a talented baker, she owns her own business- Darby's Sweets, and talented florist now as well. She is great at using her creative spirit to create delicious and gorgeous works of art! She absolutely loves her dog Rolo and loves taking him on hikes and exploring nature. Darby is one of the most sensitive, kind and loving people Carly knows. She is one of those people that always has the best intentions and always thinks of others. Carly loves her kind heart and is excited for her to be a by her side.

The style master himself, suave dresser, and a smooth soccer player. I have known Ports for many years playing against him / with him in the club soccer days and finally joining forces again at UCSD. Always in for a concert, successful and unsuccessful mex trips, and every adventure in between. A highlight memory out of the many would have to be a trip he masterminded with the lads to Guadalajara to see Xolos vs Chivas. Going to the game, exploring Jalisco, and buying pulque (an interesting agave based beverage) on the roadside was unforgettable.
Kian Malek

He will be the best dancer at the wedding, so make sure to keep an eye out. Kian is one of the funniest, most genuine people you will ever meet and I had the pleasure of spending my time at UCSD living and playing soccer with him. Always keeping the house or whoever is around laughing, Kian is nothing but positive vibes. Despite giving me one of my only concussions during a literal “run in” at UCSD training he still made the cut as a groomsman.
