I would like to start by saying thank you to everyone who helped us through our journey. The people who loved and supported us as we were just teenagers dating in high school, a couple doing long distance in college, to partners taking our first steps into adult hood and finally to becoming husband and wife. Our story truly is a testament of the Lord’s faithfulness! We are beyond blessed that we have got to know and love each other through so many of life’s milestones. I thank God every day for allowing me to meet my life partner so soon. I even wrote it in a book to myself in high school that I would marry Madison! As for our story, it all started 9 years ago. Madison was on the hunt for a Junior prom date and the cute boy that she passed on the way to history class (me) caught her eye. After working up the nerve Madison came up to me and asked me “you know what you look like?”, confused by the question, I wrinkled my eyebrows and answered “who?” to which she replied, “my prom date”. After exchanging numbers, Madison decided it would probably be a good idea to get to know me first before going to prom with a complete stranger. We went to the arcade and to get ice cream and to say it was the most interesting date I have ever been on would be an understatement. She got me out of my shell and made me laugh a lot. She was just herself and had no shame which I loved that about her. I will never forget the story she told me about her pet ladybug. We continued to hangout over the next few months and with each time we hung out I fell harder and harder. Madison, now a senior in high school, with dreams of attending the University of South Alabama wasn’t too sure a relationship was the best thing for her at the moment and put me in the friend zone. She even gave me friendzone feelings repellant spray that she made for my birthday. While she might have been a little hesitant, I knew exactly who I wanted. After a few chick-fil-a drop offs and yogurt runs, she finally said yes to being my girlfriend in November of 2015, and the rest as they say, is history!! We have since conquered long distance, graduated college, bought a cute little house we love, adopted a rambunctious Doberman that keeps us on our toes, and supported each other as we chase our wildest dreams – Madison starts CRNA school in May and I continue to build a business I am proud of. We are so excited to celebrate our love with all our favorite people and look forward to seeing you all in April! Madison said bring your dancing shoes and get ready for a night full of fun! I can’t wait to marry the girl of my dreams! - Carlos
