Flashback to 2020, where it first began. Jason was in the midst of settling into his new home in Royal Oak, just as Lauren was beginning her own home renovation journey right next door. Occasionally they would wave to each other in the driveway now and again as friendly neighbors do. Then, in April of the following year, it began. Lauren's thoughtful gesture of dropping a note into Jason's mailbox set the stage for something wonderful. As Jason headed home to Kentucky for the weekend, he discovered the note that would lead to their very first date - dinner on the deck. Jason toughed through a pizza meal filled with veggies (his favorite) which paved the way for fun conversations in the backyard. The next year was filled with dinner dates, family game nights, dog walks, bike rides, and ice cream dates. Then in February of 2021 Lauren and Jason officially began dating.

In late July, amidst the breathtaking beauty of Banff National Park, Lauren and Jason embarked on a memorable hike to "The Big Beehive" with four of their friends. The 7-mile journey began at 7AM, filled with laughter and picturesque moments. As they reached the summit, 2,552ft above, Jason found the perfect spot to capture the stunning view of Lake Louise and the surrounding forest. Seizing the moment, he pulled out a ring box from his backpack, and with their friends as witnesses, he knelt down and asked the big question. Lauren said YES, setting the stage for the beautiful chapter we're about to begin!
