Matron of Honor
Brandy is my best friend and my "girl" partner in crime. She has been through so much with me and seen me through the various stages of life. She has brought so much joy and many fun adventures my way, from two girls counting pennies at the ice cream truck to two women traveling internationally together. When we are together, we always have a ball and become the life of the party. Although we’ve lived in different states over the years, we still have the same bond and are always in sync. I appreciate the many hour-plus-long facetime calls and virtual game nights. I look forward to raising our future kids together and continuing to give the guys a run for their money. Again, I am honored to have her as my Matron of Honor!
Best Man
Jonnesss! We met in the 4th grade and sat next to each other in class. What sparked our friendship was friendly banter between sports, the different teams, and pro wrestling. I remember going back and forth about how we could bench press 300 plus lbs like those steroid-stan wrestlers. I was there at your wedding, and I appreciate him for returning the favor, bro.

Anyone who knows Joanna can attest to her loyalty as a friend. We met in middle school and formed a friendship while walking home. I was new to the area and recognized her from some of my classes. I approached her and formally introduced myself, and we never looked back. Because we lived within 5 minutes of each other, we began to spend a lot of time together. We shared many trips to the mall, which explains why we shop so much now! She has also been with me through a lot and has stood by my side as a friend. She has also volunteered and shown up the many times I needed a set of hands or eyes on something. I am grateful to call her my friend and my bridesmaid.

"And we gon be all right if we put Drizzy on the hook" Andre, man, I remember when you and your sister were the new kids to the neighborhood. They were the only kids who could not go past the park or too far down the block. Pops wasn't having it. I remember back in high school, I always tried to get him to go out and come party with "us." It took a while for him to come out of his shell, but now we turn up all the time.

Me and Mel go back to my Watts days. I remember when my grandma introduced us, and I was so excited to have another girl to hang out with. And then, come to find out we had the same last name (hold it down for me), it was a perfect match. Mel is another ride-or-die friend who has been with me through many adventures growing up. We have so many interesting stories from our younger years, like our New York adventure and our first time baking cupcakes (used grease instead of oil), and that time she fell on my wrist! But, of course, now, as adults, the adventures are a bit more mature and bougie but still tons of fun. Mel is that friend who is always down for the cause, no matter how outlandish it may seem. It’s an honor to have her by my side during this journey.

Cynthia is my hood partner (bringing it back). We met during my second year of college when she became one of my roommates. We immediately connected over bring from neighboring cities (Watts & South Gate), and then it was off to the races. Cynthia made my college experience worthwhile. We talked about our dreams and visions and pushed each other to be better versions of ourselves. We also had so much fun jumping through car windows (ask her about it), doing late-night food runs, and ditching work together. I’m grateful for all the advice over the years and just for the friend she’s been to me.

Growing up, I would say we had a Carlton and Will relationship, not to be confused with me cracking jokes on you like Will would do Carlton, but in the aspect that you would love to sing, dance, and were book smart while I was into sports, working and wondering who was having the next big party. I always viewed you as more than a cousin, Cuz. You were more like a slightly older brother even though you only have 6 months on me. Thanks for all the advice and for being at my side on this beautiful journey.
