Their love story began on a summer evening when they both found themselves back in their hometown of Cleveland during the pandemic, having temporarily left their respective cities, Chicago and San Francisco. While waiting for friends who had wanted to set the two up, as fate would have it, they ended up matching and taking matters into their own hands. They met on the rooftop bar Garden City for their first date, which lasted many hours leading to five more dates within the next two weeks. From 17 River Grille patio overlooking the falls, to staying past closing at Sapphire Creek Winery, they found the perfect outdoor date spots to make Covid dating work. Shortly after meeting, Jordan left for a planned two-month cross-country road trip with friends. Talking almost everyday, they both knew this was something special. When Jordan got back in November, they spent time together in Chicago and then he convinced Cara to escape the winter with him in Florida. This would be the start of a recurring theme for the young snowbirds. They have been inseparable ever since, sharing adventures as they travel together across the U.S. and abroad, trying new restaurants, playing tennis and spending time with family and friends! After a whirlwind summer of travel, Cara was hesitant about an unexpected trip to Cleveland for Jordan’s “work meeting” with his manager who happened to live there. Luckily she was convinced to go because on July 29 Jordan proposed, surprising Cara at their first date spot, Garden City!
