In 2019, Trooper Eddy Gossett arrested an individual who hired Cara’s employer (defense attorney Dan Peugh) for representation. Cara was in the office while Dan was reviewing the arrest footage from Eddy's cameras several months later. She overheard her boss (a person not easily impressed) comment on the Trooper's professionalism and adept handling of the investigation. Cara viewed some of the video herself and was also dazzled by the Trooper's superb comportment (in addition to several other attributes she assumes you have also noticed). Afterwards, she took the unprecedented step of e-mailing him to applaud his fine work. He responded to her e-mail in an enormously gracious and sincere manner. Quite a while later, Eddy searched for Cara's profile on Facebook. He (allegedly) accidentally sent her a "thumbs up" and deleted it before she could view the message, leaving "Unsent Message" on her screen. She messaged back asking what it was that he'd "unsent", and, as they say, the rest is history.
