Carlos and I met as teenagers at Meigs Middle school! I'll never forget when he first asked for my number in science class, it was then our love began to grow. We had a couple of classes together and we also both played soccer. We were childhood bestfriends before becoming high school sweethearts.

For starters, Carlos went above and beyond planning the proposal and I can't begin to express how thankful I am to have him. After about six months of planning a proposal in St Augustine, in the middle of a botanical garden, with a photographer and dinner reservations, Carlos and I found out our fur baby of 6 years, Rocky, had lymphoma cancer. We were completely heart broken. Without knowing anything, I canceled our St Augustine trip. Everything Carlos had planned, went down the drain. He knew there was no way we could leave Rocky during this time. A week later, Carlos called me saying he had a photographer booked, and thought it was a great idea for us to do family pictures with Rocky. Not thinking anything of it, I agreed! We drove out to the beach the following week and about 20 minutes into the photoshoot, Carlos drops down on one knee and proposes! After about a minute of ugly crying, I said Yes! I was so shocked and so thankful that Rocky was able to be a part of it! Rocky passed away a few weeks later.. looking back I am so grateful he was able to be a part of such a monumental moment for Carlos and I. A sweet memory I will never forget for as long as I say "I do".
