We met in January of 2022. He was a contractor for the company that I work for so he would come sign in and we would have brief moments of conversation. I saw him so much and he hated coming out to Kinder Morgan so I would jokingly tell him "I hope I don't see you again". Around the end of March, He was changing a flat on his work truck on the gravel road to KM. I noticed he was struggling so I stopped to give him a hand, by give him a hand.. I mean that I sat there and made fun of him for having trouble with this tire. We ended up talking for way longer than expected but it was like we clicked. Fast forward to sometime in April.. I couldn't stop thinking about the crazy tire guy, So what did I do? I looked him up on Facebook and shot my shot. We have not gone a day without each other since that day

My best friend and I, along with our 4 kids packed up and left for the beach early that morning. We left at the same time Joe "went to work". We get to the beach and get settled all while Joe has been texting me on his "breaks" and "lunch". Around 7:00 when Joe was supposed to be getting off of work he called, as he always does. He was really brief. He just said he was going to take a shower and he'd call me back. 9PM rolls around and he still hasn't called so I started to get antsy. It wasn't like him to not call me back. I started to call, no answer. I looked at the cameras at the house, not working. That was a red flag for me... so I really started to get angry. Why are the cameras off? The only thing I could do was sit by the pool and sulk... Daxton was in bed asleep, but Heather's son Garrett texted that he "woke up" so we went back to the condo. As I walked in, all sad and upset because I hadn't heard from Joe.. He was standing there.. In the kitchen of the condo with a ring box. As he got down on one knee, my brother popped out of the bedroom to take pictures. It was the shock of my life! I had talked to them both that day and never suspected that they were together, much less headed to Florida. I, of course, said YES! Apparently, some planning had been going on between them and Heather. Its really hard to pull one over on me so I am really impressed with their planning! This was something I will never forget.
