Thorn Spring Park

Thorn Spring Park is the location of the reception on Saturday, so it will be the ideal lodging if you want to be where the party is and not have to worry about driving anywhere that day. We have rented the entire campground for the whole weekend, which includes 10 cabins that sleep 8-22 people each. Within each cabin are: rows of bunk beds, a stove & fridge, and a full bathroom. There is also a separate bath house with extra showers and toilets. We are offering space in these cabins to our guests for FREE on both Friday and Saturday nights. Loafer's Glory Event Venue and Resort

Another 10 minutes down the road past Thorn Spring Park, there is a collection of cabins scattered over a beautiful mountain side, interspersed with hiking trails. At the center of the property is an adorable house where the proprietors live and their distillery, Dry Run Spirits, where they make the best moonshine I've ever had from apples they grow right on the property. Jason and Molly will actually be staying in one of these cabins during the wedding weekend! While these cabins are more private than those at Thorn Spring Park, they are also an even more basic, camp-like experience, with no running water and outhouse bathroom solutions in most of the cabins. This may be a good option for an adventurous, outdoorsy family or for couples looking for a romantic rustic getaway. Reach out to Molly or Jason to request space on this property! Harrisonburg Hotels

If you would prefer a more traditional hotel experience, the closest place to do that would be back "over the mountain" (as we call it) in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Please note that this will require deciding in advance on a designated driver and when to leave the reception to start the hour long drive (for example, is the driver comfortable driving on mountain roads at night or should you leave before sunset?). However, staying in Harrisonburg would likely put you one hour closer to home for the next day. This may be the best option for parents with kids or folks with health issues. We hope that all our guests are able to make lodging arrangements that make them most comfortable!

Star Hotel and Restaurant [FULL]

While the reception at Thorn Spring Park is just a 6 minute drive outside of Franklin, WV, The Star Hotel and Restaurant is a more "in-town" experience. The Star is a quaint inn and restaurant right on main street so it is walkable to the bank, the gas station, and the Korner Shop Cafe. This may be a good option for folks who don't plan on staying at the Saturday Reception all day, so you can pop back and forth for some rest, peace, and quiet. We have established a hotel block of 10 rooms for the weekend, so please call during their business hours (11-2 Monday-Thursday, all day Friday) and mention the Britchkow wedding to make a reservation.
