Camp Mataponi has plenty of parking and you will be able to leave your car at camp all weekend at no additional cost. Camp Staff will be available to help load/unload.
There are 3 different types: Bunkhouses (cabins with bunk beds), 1 or 2 Room Cabins • Bunkhouses: Bunkbeds can come down and be pushed together to form one double bed. Each bunkhouse has bathrooms, showers, and a porch. • 2-Room Cabins: A few cabins have 2 bedrooms each with a full size or queen bed and a shared bathroom for those two rooms. • 1-Room Cabins: Some cabins are private, with a double bed, bathroom, shower, and a porch. In true Camp fashion, you will find your assigned cabin the day you arrive!
We will be thoughtfully and carefully placing friends and families together, but If you have any specific concerns, please email dcento@bu.edu and we will try to accommodate your wishes.
You are welcome to bring your favorite pillow, blanket, and towels—but linens can also be provided by us. Please note if you would like us to take care of your linens when RSVPing
Other than wedding clothes and toiletries for the weekend you might want • Toiletries • Bathing suit • Comfortable shoes • Active wear • A rain jacket (hopefully won't be needed) • A Blowdryer/Curler/Straightener • Any additional snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non) you may want for the weekend • Towels • Pillow • Sheets/blankets/sleeping bag (it will likely get cold at night) ^ Unless you noted in "stay" section
When you enter Camp Mataponi, you're on vacation! Included are all accommodations, access to camp & all activities, as well as breakfast and lunch for the duration of your stay. Camp activities include: Canoes, Paddle boards, Swimming, Hanging on the beach, Tennis, Basketball, Softball, Spikeball, Cornhole, Ladder toss etc. Regardless of whether or not you stay at Camp Mataponi (we hope you do!), the welcome cookout, camp activities, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on Saturday are provided to all guests. If you have any dietary restrictions we are happy to accommodate so long as you note in your RSVP.
We will be providing beverages for the main events. However, camp is BYOB— so all are welcome to store any drinks (alcoholic and non) and snacks you want in your cabin as well!
Early June in Maine can be unpredictable, so layers are always a good idea! We request you wear comfortable, but formal attire for the wedding. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outside and the reception inside.
