A day in Denver

If you're looking to spend a day in the city, we recommend either exploring the Botanic Gardens or the Art Museum depending on your mood (and perhaps the weather). While the food at the garden is great, we recommend that you try either one of our favorite restaurants in Denver - Root Down in RiNo or Mazevo on Tennyson Street.

Drive up Boulder Canyon

If you are staying after the wedding, or are already acclimatized to the altitude, Amber always recommends a drive from Boulder up through Boulder Canyon to Nederland. If you are staying in Denver and want a shorter loop, you can turn left on the Peak to Peak Highway (CO-72) to drive back via I-70. If you have more time, you can turn right on the Peak to Peak Highway (CO-72) and continue on. Once you reach the intersection with CO-7, either turn right to drive home via Lyons and US 36, or turn left and sneak up to Estes Park to see Rocky Mountain National Park and eat at Notchtop Bakery! For our favorite loop, click the "View" button below! - Start off at South Side Walnut Cafe for breakfast, - Go up to Rocky Mountain National Park, - Stop by Notchtop Bakery for lunch (see below), - Head back down to Boulder for ice cream at Gelato Boy

If you are able to sneak away to Estes Park, this is Amber and Cameron's favorite place to grab lunch after a hike. The cinnamon rolls and coffee are the perfect pick me up before your lunch order arrives!

Drive through Lafayette

Start your morning with brunch at Morning Glory Cafe and then drive over to Old Town Lafayette on South Public Road to explore the small shops and work up your appetite for your next meal at Community.
