The Hood River Waterfront Park is the epitome of the Hood River tourist experience. Plenty of great places to eat and drink along the water. Reminder that Hood River has an open container law, allowing you to take a beer, cider, cocktail, or wine to go. A favorite pastime of ours is to grab a drink and walk along the waterfront trail. Plenty of places to dip your toes in- if you dare! Pro tip: Park behind the local restaurants rather than street parking to save a few bucks.

Downtown Hood River's counter part, on the Washington side or the river. Cross the Hood River Bridge (there is a toll fee of $3.50, each way) and head up the hill to downtown White Salmon. Plenty of places to stop, eat, drink, and shop. Some recommendations would be Pixan, Everybody's brewery , and the White Salmon Bakery.
On the Washington side, this is a wonderful winery to visit! Might even rank as our favorite wine of the region.

If you're up in Parkdale, Solera is a popular local spot for drinks and nachos.
If you're one of the few guest that have never visited this Wonder of ours, we recommend a stop off- if only to say you did! Additionally, the gorge has many beautiful hiking trails and falls that are worth a stop along your way out of town. If you need more recs on this, hit us up.
