Our first date was to see Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2015. We also got a chance to walk around Horseshoe Lake before it was drained into what it is today... some kind of swamp? We adopted a cat, Poppy, in the summer of 2019. We were long distance until March 2020 - Callie left Hiram College for Cummings Road in Cleveland Heights to live with Jason and the roommates when Covid shut down the world. We moved to East Scarborough at the end of 2020. We painted the walls, painstakingly ripped out carpet, and furnished our new home. Callie finally got to bring home her turtle, Tortellini. She came with 2 goldfish (we're down to 1 fish :( ). Jason dug up the front yard using math and science (and tools), and we set up garden beds to grow food every two or three summers. We adopted a second cat, Blueberry Crisp, in 2021, and updated our furniture. Without roommates, we got into the swing of things and decided it was time to add another mammal to our collection. Rama the dog was a spur of the moment decision in May 2023.

We proposed to each other about seventy-four times before the official proposal. To prepare for the real thing, Jason secretly bought the exact engagement ring that Callie chose and told him to get. Jason told Callie to go to the Euclid Creek after work. They rushed to meet there before the sun set. He did the knee and question thing on the newly built bridge over the rushing water. "So unexpected! Yes!!" We announced our engagement on Facebook using a toy Infinity Stone Gauntlet, a nod to our first date. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
