Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Callie Parrish and Jacob Weber
Evergreen Colorado is a small mountain town with cute little shops. You can easily spend a day just checking out the local shops and breweries, but the real crown jewel is all the beautiful nature nearby! All you have to do is pull up google maps to see the awesome things to do. Here are a few recommendations from us that are tried and true.
Panorama Point Hiking Trail

Panorama Point Hiking Trail

25338 Bear Creek Rd, Evergreen, CO 80439

This is my favorite trail near Denver, and it's only 7 minutes from downtown Evergreen. It's a relatively short hike, (2.4 miles round trip), but please be aware that it has a bit of elevation gain (643 ft). You'll find that this amount of gain is relatively small compared to the neighboring hikes. I find it to be the perfect little half-day (or less) outing.

Cactus Jack's Saloon & Grill

Cactus Jack's Saloon & Grill

4651 County Hwy 73,, Evergreen, CO 80439
, (303) 674-1564

Fantastic little mountain bar and grill, that hosts lots of local live music. You can eat on the back porch next to a babbling brook. The music can be hit or miss sometimes, I would know, because I've played there before! - Jake

Evergreen Lake Trail

Evergreen Lake Trail

Right in town, this one is an easy choice for people who want to enjoy time outside but can't commit to anything else. It takes about 26 minutes to complete (per alltrails). It is on a paved surface, and pretty much 0 feet of elevation gain. For a similarly short hike with more impressive views, a bit more rugged terrain, and a bit further of a drive, see the Loveland Pass Hike.

A Quick Hike On Loveland Pass

A Quick Hike On Loveland Pass

28194 US-6, Keystone, CO 80435,

A .8 mile Round Trip, with EPIC views! Loveland Pass Lake Trailhead gives you access to the most beautiful part of Colorado, with the most minimal effort! This is my 10/10 recommendation to people who want to experience the high altitude of Colorado, without the commitment of a huge hike. It is about a 52 minute drive from evergreen. See Alltrails Link for official trailhead information, or type in "Loveland Pass Lake" on google maps. This is a high altitude area, so take it easy, and drink lots of water.

Staunton State Park

Staunton State Park

Conifer, CO 80433

For people looking to go a bit further, Staunton is about a 25 minute drive from Evergreen Lake and hosts some of the most beautiful hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing in the Denver Region. There is a $9 State Park Fee.

Greys and Torreys Peak

Greys and Torreys Peak

This is NOT for the faint of heart. You must be strong and confident for this one. Do not do this hike on a day that it might rain, because lightning does strike on the high peaks. But if it's a good workout, a strong feeling of accomplishment, and you have a day to kill, this is my favorite mountain you could ever hike in the Denver Area. The trailhead is about 1 hour from downtown Evergreen. Bring at least 2 full liters of water, (more is better), and know your limits and when to turn back. Altitude Sickness is NO JOKE.
