If you're reading this, it means you've played a huge role in one (or both) of our lives. Whether you're a family member, a friend, or a random "plus-one," we're so thankful to be able to share this moment with you!

Late December, back in '63. What a very special -- just kidding. October, back in '09 is more accurate. We met during our Sophomore year of high school -- on Halloween night, to be exact. After months of courting (i.e., cringeworthy text messages, awkward encounters at high school parties, etc.), we finally made it "Facebook official." We didn't know it at the time, but our nights of corny banter and high school football games were the beginning of a lifelong partnership (don't worry, though -- we're still corny).

If you've spent more than an hour with either of us, then you're familiar with our shared loved of sashimi, so it's only fitting that Ryan proposed over a private sushi dinner in our cozy Los Angeles apartment. The entire evening was the perfect, intimate escape from the craziness of the pandemic -- and a complete surprise for Madeline!

We've bounced around the country together, but our roots are in Chicago. We're thrilled to spend our big day reconnecting with family, friends, and a city we love!
