Dana and Jacob met at Point Loma Nazarene University, where they both studied in the School of Theology and Christian Ministry. Although they knew of each other from class, they started talking for the first time after Dana sent Jacob a funny picture on Instagram that related to their youth ministry class. They have spoken every day since then!

Jacob surprised Dana with a reenactment of their first date, which included Italian food, Ghirardelli chocolate for dessert, and walking around IKEA! At the end of the date, they returned to Dana's childhood home. Jacob proposed on the front porch, a nod to one of their favorite songs, "Next Thing You Know," by Jordan Davis.
