Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony begins. The exact starting time of the ceremony is 4:00 pm EST. If guests arrive late, they will have to wait inside and miss the ceremony/watch from inside so that there are no interruptions when the ceremony begins. The venue has a lot of land, therefore, you want to arrive in time to park and then possibly walk a short distance to get to the venue. There will be venue staff who will transport guests from the parking spot to the venue on a golf cart.
This is an adult-only ceremony. Due to space, constraints or safety restrictions, we are unable to accommodate children at our wedding. We request that all families with children 10 and under stay home with a family member or a babysitter. Thank you for understanding.
This is a formal attire/black-tie wedding. Please do not wear jeans, t-shirts, or flip-flops. Ladies can wear a dress and/or formal suit. Men can wear a suit and/or tux. Please avoid wearing an all-white outfit.
The closest airport is the Smith Reynolds Airport which is 22 miles away (about a 25 minute drive from the venue). The Charlotte Douglas International Airport is 105 miles away (about 1 hour and 35 minutes from the venue).
Following a GPS in your own vehicle will take you right to the venue. The venue looks like a big house on a big plot of land. There will be venue staff who will provide direction on where to park and help transport guests from the parking lot to the front of the venue on a golf cart. If not, you will have to walk from the parking spot to the front of the venue which can take about 5 minutes.
We’re so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest family and friends, and are hoping to keep the guest list limited. Unfortunately, due to budget and space limitations, we simply can’t afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. YES! We blocked 15 rooms at the Holiday Inn Express Mount Airy under the name "THE GRAVES WEDDING". You must book by April 11, 2023 before the blocks close. We will update the hotel information once we've blocked off the rooms here on the website!
Our ceremony will be an unplugged ceremony. We kindly request that phones be put away and no photos be taken during our ceremony. You can take photos AFTER the ceremony is over! We have hired two photographers and videographers who will be taking professional photos and video, and sometimes personal cameras can get in the way. Thank you for understanding and for choosing to be PRESENT with us during the ceremony!
If weather permits, the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. The reception will take place indoors on the same property. If weather does not allow, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place inside the venue.
We suggest that you eat a big breakfast or lunch before coming to the wedding. The day will start with the ceremony, which will be about an hour. The ceremony is one of the most important, sacred, and holy parts of the day to us, therefore, we aren't rushing this time. Cocktail hour is directly after where you can enjoy some small Hors d'oeuvres and drinks for about 1 hour while we take photos with our families and one another as a new married couple. Reception will follow right after cocktail hour where we will have speeches and toasts, formal dances, dinner for all of our guests, cake, a time of dancing, and a formal exit. The times are still TBD.
It is difficult to predict the weather, but the forecast on May 12, 2022 (this time last year) was low 50's and high 60's. If it doesn't rain, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside. Feel free to bring a sweater in case this is too chilly for you.
At this time, we are asking for monetary/financial gifts to put towards our marriage. Our dream is to purchase a home that will host God and host people well and are intentionally saving towards that. We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour (TBD), followed by pasta (two different flavors), salad, bread, and cake for dessert. There will be no alcohol at our wedding. Drinks such as water, tea, coffee, and sparkling cider during our toast will be provided.

Our venue is in Pinnacle, NC which is about an hour and a half from Charlotte. We don't know so much about Pinnacle, NC. But you can visit downtown Winston-Salem which is near by, or uptown Charlotte to get more of a feel of the city! There are a ton of restaurants, local coffee shops, and boutiques in Charlotte. We HIGHLY recommend visiting the Billy Graham Library during your stay which is near the Charlotte Airport.
Your presence is a present in itself, but if you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.

The end of the reception is TBD. We are thinking 9:30 or 10 pm and will have an official "sparkler exit" which we would love our guests to be a part of. There is no after party (unless someone decides to throw one haha!)
