We're getting married!

We met at work a little after I (Cynthia) started with the company back in 2013-2014. It was Joe's birthday potluck and my co-worker made delicious homemade banana bread. I'm a sucker for desserts, especially the homemade ones. Since I was still kinda new, I didn't know Joe, and I felt awkward having to go over to his desk just to get bread, so I asked my co-worker to get a slice for me, but she forgot to put butter on it... I couldn't just eat the bread without butter...who does that? Anyway.. I was determined to enjoy my dessert to the fullest, so I put my introvert mind aside and decided to make small talk just to get some butter and maybe another slice. From there to 2017 we became beer pals to the bestest friends anyone can ever ask for before we officially became a couple.

I (Cynthia) had been wanting to visit Joshua Tree for a long time. I found out there was going to be a series of "Milky Way Nights" where you can get a great view of the milky way and a meteor shower. We packed some snacks, drinks, pillows, blankets, and the 3 of us were off to Joshua Tree. It was a great night of just hanging out, listening to music and walking around with our son Jake. When we decided to call it a night, Joe paused to give me a big hug and tell me how much he loved me. He then got down on one knee and popped the question. It was the best day ever! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in March 2024!
