Known as the "Crown Jewel" of the Oregon State Parks system, Silver Falls State Park offers more than 35 miles of trails for mountain biking, hiking, or horseback riding. This includes the Trail of Ten Falls, a 7.2 mile loop that consists of 10 waterfalls, including 4 waterfalls that you can hike behind. Each trailhead for this hike starts at a waterfall! The park is about 20 minutes from Silverton.

For the winos! The Willamette Valley is known for some of the best Pinot Noirs in the world! There are some wineries by the location of the ceremony and reception, but there is also a large amount of wineries around the town of Newburg, which is about a 45 minute drive from Silverton. For the beer snobs! There are 3 breweries around Silverton; Silver Falls Brewery, Ratchet Brewery, and Benedictine Brewery (in Mt. There is also a good amount of breweries in Salem, about a 25 minute drive from Silverton.
