Question

Where exactly is the venue?

Answer

Colloca Estate Winery is located on Lake Ontario, right near Fair Haven State Park. However, it is in a rural area about 45 minutes from Syracuse. There are no Ubers or hotels in the immediate vicinity of the venue. For this reason, we recommend that all of our out-of-state guests plan on finding accommodations closer to the Syracuse area (please see the Travel page for more information on hotel blocks). Our guests that are local to Syracuse can also take advantage of the shuttle service for transportation to and from the venue.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have a block of rooms available at the TownPlace Suites by Marriott and the Hampton Inn, both located in Liverpool, NY. We recommend these hotels for our guests traveling in from out of state as they are close to the airport and will serve as the pick up and drop off location for the shuttle to the venue. We will also be using the Liverpool/Syracuse area as our "home base" for the weekend, so this is where the welcome event and after party will be held. If you are inclined to stay at a different hotel or Airbnb, we would recommend finding one in Liverpool or Syracuse. Please be mindful that we do NOT recommend staying close to the venue in Sterling or Fair Haven as it is located about 45 minutes north or Syracuse and it is a rural area where Uber will not be an option. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the bride or groom if you have any questions about where you should stay!

Is there transportation?

Answer

Yes! There will be a complimentary shuttle bus bringing guests from the Townplace Suites by Marriott and Hampton Inn, both located next to each other in Liverpool. Our guests that live locally and Syracuse and guests staying at other locations are welcome and encouraged to arrive at the hotel beforehand to take the shuttle. Please note the shuttle buses will leave the Townplace Suites by Marriott at 3pm. There is no continuous loop since the venue is 45 minutes away. Both shuttle buses will depart the venue at the conclusion of the reception at 10pm. The buses will make a stop at the Home Team Pub in Liverpool to drop off any guests that wish to attend the after party before arriving back at the hotels. Any guests attending the after party will have to arrange for their own way home, but Ubers should be easy to find. Home Team Pub is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the hotels.

Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones, but this is an adults-only event. We want you to enjoy a night off!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 4:15 p.m. to grab a seat and get settled, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30. There will be a cash bar open prior to the ceremony, so feel free to arrive a little early and grab a drink beforehand!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire. The ceremony will be outside on the grass and the reception will be in an open-air space, so please dress comfortably for the weather!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Please join us for an after party at Home Team Pub in Liverpool, conveniently located less than 10 minutes away from the two hotel blocks. This will include late night snacks and a cash bar! The shuttle will be making a stop at Home Team Pub to drop guests off, but everyone will be responsible for finding their own way home. There are plenty of Ubers in this area!
