Maid of Honor
Grace has been my best friend since the sixth grade. God brought us together to laugh, cry, and love our way through middle school, high school, and beyond. From being college roommates and soul sisters, our friendship has stood the test of time and even paved the way for our two siblings (my brother and her sister) to fall in love with each other.
Best Man
Brandon and I met at East Carolina University and have been tight ever since. He has a heart to help young kids live better lives, and he always pulls the best out of them. We have seen each other through different seasons of life. He's a phenomenal husband, father, and friend. He's my brother from another mother, my brother in Christ, and he always knows how to get a dance party started!
Bridesmaid
Emma is my sister-in-law and the sweet sister of my maid of honor. It wasn't until I was in high school that Emma started making appearances at the Battle household. But, once Emma did, the rest was history as she and my brother fell in love and even married in April of 2022. Emma has been a wonderful sister-in-law and a great addition to the Battle family!
Groomsman
Kenny and I met when I was coaching at Gardner-Webb. Jake Delaney came up to me one day and was like, "Sag, you gotta meet this guy. He's awesome!" Kenny loves sports, especially Philadelphia sports (a huge Philly Eagles fan). Kenny has been nothing but a brother to me. When I was in need, he opened his home to me. He's a pastor but has always made time to be my friend. When I was moving to Pensacola, he and his wife drove down in a separate car next to me and spent a few days helping me get moved and settled in. What a guy!
Bridesmaid
I met Alina when we worked at Rusted Arrow Mercantile in Pensacola. After Alina's interview, the store owners immediately ran to me to say, "You're going to love her! She reminds us so much of you," and they were right! Alina and I quickly bonded over our love for Jesus and dedication to our walks with Christ. We share the same attitude toward life, and I see her as the remarkable little sister I didn't even know I needed.
Groomsman
TJ is my guy! We went to rival high schools and never really connected until college. TJ and I connected through the game of basketball -- I coach and he hooped (but I'll give him a bucket)! He is a great friend to me. He is super genuine and brings a smile that instantly brings joy to whatever room he's in. I'm thankful for my boy.
Bridesmaid
I met Vashti in June of 2021, almost immediately after moving to Pensacola, FL. Since day one of meeting, Vashti has made me laugh (which is the quickest way to my heart) countless amount of times! Our friendship came at a moment when I needed it the most. Vashti made my transition from Georgia to Florida exceedingly enjoyable, and now I can't imagine life without her.
Groomsman
Jake is the whitest human being I've ever met. Jake and I worked at Gardner-Webb together and were roommates as well. I tell people all the time that Jake is one of the best people I've met on this earth. He's kind, funny, and completely comfortable in who God has made him to be. He's a man of influence, he loves to dance at weddings, and he's my dawg!
Bridesmaid
Cailyn was one of the first few people I met when I moved to Pensacola. When I first joined Liberty Church, I was blown away by Cailyn's beautiful singing voice and even more by her warm spirit and kind heart. Cailyn has been so loving, dependable, and welcoming during my time in Pensacola. And when Cailyn, Vashti, and I get together, you can expect a whole bunch of love and tons of genuine laughter!
Groomsman
Mr. Harr was divinely placed in my life. We have known each other since I was 17 years old. We both lean on each other as prayer warriors. He has the biggest heart. He is a powerful businessman and a cheerful giver. He's an inspiration to me! He is also one of the funniest people I know, and he doesn't even mean to be!
Ring Bearer
Braylon is the son of Brandon Little (my best man) and Brettelyn Little. Braylon is my favorite child and brings me so much joy. If I am ever in a funk, all I need to do is pull up a picture or video of Braylon being Braylon. He’s funny and has tons of personality….and not to mention, he’s adorable!
Brother of the Bride
Growing up, everyone thought we were twins, and I only wished for that to be true so I could really be just like my big brother. I have always admired Tre's creativity (his drawings casually shamed my stick figures), quiet but wise demeanor (he would save his AirHeads, I would eat them), and love for God (no explanation necessary). He is literally the best brother a girl could have, and he will be escorting me to my father on the big day!
Mother of the Bride
Rebecca is my ultra-loving mother. It was actually my mom who first believed that Sagar and I would one day marry -- I guess mothers really do know best! She has always been the funny, supportive, and caring mother every child dreams of having. Most of my favorite qualities and reading/writing skills come from her. I am blessed to call this extraordinary woman of God not only my mom but also my best friend.
Father of the Bride
Derrick is my goofy but caring father. I am thankful that I was able to grow up with a father who could teach me how to hambone while instilling so much independence and strength in me. He is a quiet man, but when he speaks, everyone knows to tune in -- unless he's telling a dad joke. I am blessed to be at least half of the person he is. ( ...and if you see him cutting a rug on the dance floor, no you didn't.)
Mother of the Groom
Renu Kapoor is my amazing mother. She is my biggest fan. Anyone that knows my mom knows that she’s the life of the party. She’s full of joy and laughter. She is the best host I have ever been around and when people come over, they always feel loved, welcomed, and are fed the BEST Indian food!
Father of the Groom
Rakesh Kapoor is my awesome dad! He is extremely loving and caring and has super corny jokes. When Caitlin is around, his jokes just keep on coming! He also makes the BEST gajjar ka halwa! I’m grateful for my dad always being a phone call away when I don’t know how to do something, like my taxes 😂
