Shuttle to Chateau

A shuttle will be departing the Splendid hotel at 3:00 pm for any guests who would like to get to the Chateau early to explore and tour the castle. The second and final shuttle will depart the Splendid hotel at 4:00pm for all remaining guests to get to the castle for the ceremony starting at 4:45pm. There will be tours during cocktail hour as well!

Shuttles will take our guests back to the Splendid hotel beginning at 11:00pm and will continue in shifts as the shuttles fill until 2:00am.

Geneva, Switzerland has the closest main airport (GVA) for international flights. Annecy is approximately 35 miles (45 minutes by car) south of Geneva.

Paris is an alternative city to fly into, with several airports. Paris is approximately 4 hours by train to Annecy.

Rental Car

Rental cars are highly suggested for easy day trips and to get around the area without need of taxis/ubers which may be unreliable. Rentals are available at Geneva Airport if you would prefer to drive to Annecy (45 minute drive) or are available to rent in Annecy. Be mindful while driving - there are many unmarked speed cameras along highways (Max learned this the hard way...)

Airport Shuttle

There are several companies that offer a shuttle service from Geneva Airport to Annecy. This is convenient for those not renting a car but may be easier than taking public transportation. We suggest booking this at least several weeks ahead of your travel. Shuttle Companies (more can be found online): Transfeero (recommended), Alps2Alps, Alpine Busses, Alpy Bus

Flix Bus

Just one of many public transit options, this bus is direct from Geneva Airport to Annecy Station and only takes 50 minutes - however the bus only runs Friday through Monday and there is only 1 bus each day at 1:25pm.

Another option, this train runs from the Geneva airport to Annecy train station with many departure time options and slightly longer duration - approximately 2 hours.

This hotel will be the location of the pickup/drop off for the wedding shuttle. Note that you do not need to stay here to use the shuttle, there are many hotels and airbnbs nearby!

Rental Homes/ Apartments

There are many vacation rentals in the area of Annecy which can be reserved on websites such as AirBNB, VRBO, etc. We suggest finding one walkable to the Splendid Hotel in Annecy, the pick-up/drop-off location for the complementary shuttle to and from the wedding.

Luxury hotel on Lake Annecy, this hotel is about 20 minutes walk or 5 minute drive to the Splendid Hotel and downtown Annecy.

This picturesque luxury hotel has a great location on the lake in the quieter town of Menthon. Note that this hotel is about a 30 minute drive to downtown Annecy but closer to the Chatêau de Menthon.

Another hotel option, just a few minutes walk to the Splendid hotel where the shuttles will pickup/drop off. This hotel is the best budget option, note that there is no elevator but there is air conditioning!
