We're Getting Married!

Let us tell you the story of the future Nussbaums… Caitlin is a young, blonde haired girl from Los Angeles, California who worked as a successful movie trailer producer (or as she says "I am in the entertainment industry"). Martin was born in South Africa and is die-hard New Yorker (closet watching NY sports fan), father of 4 beautiful daughters, who runs a growing real estate business. To some, this might be quite the unlikely pair. One Sunday night in February of 2019 Caitlin’s brother-in-law and sister forced her along to a business dinner to meet Martin, who in her mind was some “old” boring businessman. Martin expected to meet some young chick who would be nice to look while he talked business. Cue Caitlin walking into dinner and seeing Martin sitting there and instantly realizing that he is no “old” man and he certainly is not boring. Five minutes into the conversation, Martin knew that Caitlin was way more than just a pretty face. Some might even say that for the two it was love at first sight. What was supposed to be a quick dinner turned into the two dancing the night away at some fun club…and the rest is history. They say distance makes the heart grow fonder, and this really was true for Martin and Caitlin. Their relationship began with them living on opposite coasts doing long distance for over a year. In this time, they traveled all over together, from the South of France to Cabo, to the Caribbean and Paris, and everywhere in between. In between traveling, they spent long weekends in both LA and New York, exploring each other’s worlds and falling harder with every moment they spent together. Finally, Caitlin decided to take a leap of faith, moving across the country to New York to see if this thing between the two of them might really have some gas. Well, you guessed it, this thing certainly had fire and what started as an unlikely pair at a business dinner, turned into a forever love and commitment. Let’s not forget one of the most important parts of Caitlin and Martin’s love story…Martin has four incredible girls- Maya, Dani, Zoe, and Romy who might actually be the real reason Caitlin is sticking around. Of the many things Martin and Caitlin love doing together, their absolute favorite is traveling, experiencing beautiful hotels and local culture and cuisine. For their special day they wish to do just that: share their passion for travel, hospitality, great food, drinks and music with all their favorite people.
