Caitlin and Jordan met on November 2nd, 2019 when an algorithm on an online dating site matched them together as “Most Compatible: We think you two should meet.” Caitlin took this suggestion seriously and decided to browse Jordan’s profile. Although she doubted he was truly 6’5” as his bio stated, his warm smile and honest answers intrigued her. His tattoos and love for his cat were also a huge plus. So she went for it and hit “like” on a video of Jordan seductively dancing to “Me & U” by Cassie. Right away Jordan responded and the two began a conversation that is still going on to this day. Jordan said he was looking for “someone who will actually text back” and Caitlin was more than happy to oblige. That evening Caitlin had a wedding to attend and Jordan had a busy night at work, but the connection between the two was undeniable and they could not stop texting each other. During a slow dance with her date (her grandmother, Nan), Caitlin received a word of advice. Nan said “Now Caitlin, don’t you ever settle, you deserve to be with someone who makes you truly happy.” Caitlin smiled, feeling like she may have finally found that person. Later that night, Caitlin was able to convince a very tired Jordan to meet at the Sinking Ship, Caitlin’s favorite bar (RIP). Jordan walked in and to Caitlin’s delight, she realized he was not lying about his height. The two had instant chemistry and felt that they had known each other for a lifetime. Halloween weekend festivities were happening and when Jordan protected Caitlin from a scary guy dressed as IT, she knew he was the one. Caitlin impressed Jordan with her skee-ball skills and the two played pinball, talked, and laughed all night long until the bar closed. Jordan went home and deleted his online dating profiles. Caitlin texted her girlfriends the next morning exclaiming “I met someone really special!” They both finally understood the old saying that “when you know, you know,” was true!
