Maid of Honor
Katie and I met during sorority recruitment in college and we were instant friends. In the sorority I had the pleasure of being Katie’s big sister - although she gave me no choice when she wrote my name down 5 times for the preference list. From sorority recruitment to late night ice cream runs and two long distance relationships (me moving to Denver and then Katie moving to Oregon). Katie has been there to encourage support and challenge me in every way. One of the best qualities about Katie, is that she holds high expectations for herself and the people around you. Whatever you decide to do, she supports you fully in that endeavor to be the best version of you! She is warm, caring, and empathetic with a no BS attitude, that I constantly admire and am so grateful to call her a friend.

As Katie’s older cousin I have known and loved her outgoing, persistent, goofy personality since she was a baby. My first memory of Katie is holding her as an infant by a wall for hours, at her insistence, because she couldn’t get enough of playing with the dimmer light switch. I was thrilled to stand there all day and watch her little mind wonder at this simple thing. (Good thing too because there was NO way she would have let me put her down. 😊.) Katie was as adorable and strong willed then, as she is beautiful and determined now. It has been fun watching her grow into the ambitious, successful, witty person she is today. And, Jae is the perfect partner! Not only is he as fun and hilarious as Katie, but he knows just how to jive with her strong, energetic spirit on a daily basis!

The first time I met Caitlin was 2015 in the CGI office. I only knew of her as the loud brunette in the back cubical. I don’t remember the exact time that Caitlin and I both realized that we were more than work friends, but all I know is that she now is one of my best friends. We became closer friends after being sent to Anchorage, Alaska, for work. I will always think that buying the bear mace at the local Alaskan Wal-Mart brought us closer. Caitlin will always be in my corner, and I will always be in hers. After living with Caitlin and Jae (and the pups), I can say that they perfectly complement each other. I am so happy for them and their future together (hopefully closer to Colorado).

I first met Caitlin when I joined CGI and she was assigned as my “CGI Buddy”, meaning that she was supposed to help guide me as I acclimated. However, after my first day it took three months until we spoke again, when she joined my project, asking, “Hey, what’s your name?” From that indifferent start we actually built quite a friendship. When things started going poorly on our project, including some of our best friends leaving, we made it through together. No matter what life threw at us, Caitlin always found the good in it, and I’m so grateful to her. Although it was hard to lose Caitlin to Oregon, it helped to know that she was going after her dream, and to know that Jae would be there with her. I can’t think of a better person to make her happy, and vice versa. Congrats to them!

Katie and I first met freshman year of high school. Who would have thought that my biology class would ultimately introduce me to my best friend! We quickly became friends and bonded over season after season of Gilmore Girls, Castle, and too many others to name. Katie has always been there for me throughout my life and I truly don’t know where I would be without her. I am so grateful to have Katie as a friend, and I am ecstatic for you and Jae to continue your lives together. You both bring out the best in each other, and I know that you will both go on to do amazing things together.
Wedding Planner
When Caitlin asked me to help plan their wedding, we talked for over an hour about the possibilities. We hit the ground running, and we’ve spent the last year going over every detail, making sure we created an event they’ll remember forever. I’ve watched the two of them support each other through a crash course in major wedding decisions, make a move across the country, get through Caitlin’s first year of law school, and a change of jobs for Jae, all while continuing to make each other and everyone around them laugh. There’s something special about watching a wedding evolve as couples make decisions and changes along the way to create the final product guests see in the end. I’m so honored to be part of this major life event, and I’m excited to see all of our hard work come together.
