Tour the Hanford B Reactor! This reactor is the world's first full-scale plutonium reactor and was created for the Manhattan Project. If you want more wine, there are some great wineries out here!

Palouse Falls State Park

Palouse Falls Road, LaCrosse, WA 99143

A great hike about 1.5 hours from Tri-Cities! It's on the way back to the Pullman-Moscow area. While you can hike along the plateau around the falls, you can also hike up behind the falls and turn back. If you decide to hike the plateau, be aware of any slippery areas!

Mount Rainier National Park

About 3 hours away, but well worth the drive! -- May be weekends only in October. Check the weather!
