The "dress code" is semi formal/Cocktail attire. Please keep in mind that it will be warm!
Still very warm, average temperature is 79 degrees during the day and 64 at night. We will be providing hand fans but advise that guests have an umbrella handy.
Both the ceremony and reception are being held at the Houmas House & Gardens in Darrow, LA (40136 LA-942, Darrow, LA 70725)
The ceremony will be held outdoors in front of the Houmas Mansion The cocktail hour will also be held outdoors in the garden by the reception area. The reception will be held indoors with access to the garden during that time.
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures throughout the property. During this time friends and family will be escorted to a lovely cocktail hour in the garden where finger food and beverages will be served.
There is not a theme to the wedding.
You will be missed! If you are not able to make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "declines" either through the website, by mailing back the RSVP card or reaching out to us directly by phone or email. If you did RSVP "yes" and something has come up, Please reach out to us by phone or email.
We recommend arriving 30 minutes to an hour before the start of the ceremony.
Yes, Parking is Free. Just as soon as you turn into the venue there is a large parking lot where guests can park. Please keep in mind that the venue is a Circa-1840 Greek revival mansion & plantation that includes gardens, lodging & elegant restaurants. The venue will NOT be closed to the public for the wedding. This means plan travel and arrive time accordingly.

Please view the "Travel" page of the website for information pertaining to the guest block & recommendations. The cut off to use the guest block is 1 MONTH before the wedding, after that they can not guarantee availability or the same rate.
We would appreciate an RSVP no later than a month before the wedding. We understand people forget or dont know plans that far in advance. Truly, the sooner the better.

Yes, food and drink will be served. Guests will also have access to a bar that serves both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. The reception is "cocktail buffet style" There will be 4 entrees that guests can choose from. Try one or try all 4 !
We will speak with the kitchen if there are special requests due to medical reasons. Please reach out to us directly. NO LATER THAN A MONTH before the wedding.
