We’re getting married!

D: Chris and I first met at WVU when I was a freshman. He was in the drumline and I was in the color guard. I had seen him around during band practice and hung out with him on a band trip and then Chris reached out to me on Twitter. Chris came to visit me many times over my five years at WVU and he quickly became the person I wanted to spend my life with. After 4 years of a long distance relationship, we decided to move in together after I graduated and we adopted two baby kitties, Luna and Venus. The next year, Chris decides he is going to plan a trip to Niagara Falls. I had been wanting to go to Niagara Falls for a long time and he strategically made this trip all seem like it was my idea. He planned this trip out for months with our friend, Mike, via Facetime. --- C: Danielle is absolutely right. This trip to Niagara Falls took months to plan. It's funny because Danielle is the one who introduced me to the idea of traveling and exploring the country we live in. So in terms of planning this trip, I wanted to make it seem like Danielle was the one who had planned it all. Fortunately, one of my groomsmen, Mike, is also a traveler at heart and had become one of my best friends by this point. Before this planning phase, I had already been calling Mike everyday to talk about random things (mostly to complain about work), and on those calls, Mike would occasionally suggest taking a trip so it was no surprise to Danielle when Mike called once more and suggested taking a trip to Niagara Falls. I put on my best acting voice and faked concern about going when in reality, I was ecstatic that the plan was going exactly as I planned. She was completely blindsided and it made a pretty good picture when she turned around from taking a picture near the waterfall to see me on one knee. I'll never forget the nerves as I waited. There were so many that I even forgot to show Danielle the ring, as you can see in the picture below. Despite the nerves and the calculated planning, this was the happiest day of our lives. Until June 17, 2023 comes around, that is.
