One day when studying for the CPA exam, Jake decided to come and get some coffee and study a bit. While studying, Cailee was working as a barista and was making coffee and started a conversation with Jake. From there, we found common interests in sports, life, and coffee. Over time our friendship grew and on May 5th, 2018 Jake asked Cailee out on a first date, to, of course, a Sounders and Mariners doubleheader day.

When on a small vacation in Vancouver, Jake went and grabbed coffee for us. When he returned, he had me close my eyes and when they opened the Starbucks cup said "Cailee will you marry me?" Of course I said yes!
