Stephen and I met the modern way by swiping right on Tinder. During our first date we went to see the live action version of Beauty and the Beast. We continued dating for the next year and a half, unsure of what we would do when I moved away to veterinary school. We decided that we had something special and didn't want to end our relationship just because of distance. When I moved to Starkville, Mississippi Stephen made the 14-hour drive to see me as often as he could. We continued a long-distance relationship for two years until Stephen decided to move to Mississippi with me and the cats (Stormie and Roo) . Once I graduated we moved back to Michigan and bought our first home in Milford and welcome our dog, Eliza, into the family.

We were on a family vacation in the Upper Peninsula. We went on what we thought would be a casual hike to a waterfall, but quickly turned into a strenuous 4 mile hike through marsh land. The hike was so tough that Stephen had to carry our our dog through parts of it. After hours of walking we finally arrived at the most stunning waterfall, where Stephen got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
