Last minute, Chris decided he was taking Cara to the Winter Classic. For those of you who don't know what the Winter Classic is, it's an outdoor NHL hockey game that happens once a year in a random city. This year happened to be Chris's Boston Bruins at Fenway Park. Before the game, while walking around Boston, Chris insisted that he buy one of the Winter Classic jerseys because it was so cool that it had the game's date on the collar... little did Cara know, this game would be one that she'd never forget... The game was pretty intense. No one scored the first period and in the second period, the Penguins scored. Chris was starting to sweat despite the 40 degree weather outside. Within a few minutes of the third period, the Bruins scored. Chris has never celebrated so hard for a goal, they were tied. Cara was unaware of the importance of this game's outcome. With less than 2 minutes left of the game, the Bruins scored again. Chris and Cara have never cheered so loudly! They were going to win! After the Bruins officially won, Chris suggested they walk towards the Red Sox dugout and get a better view of the rink. As they were walking down Chris said "my heart is beating out of my chest". Cara thought this was a weird comment and said "They won, I know it was such a great game, no need to worry anymore". Most of the crowd was gone at this point, but there were still some people lingering. Chris suggested they go to the dugout area where he saw an opportunity without anyone around and took a selfie in front of the dugout.. Cara was looking at the photo and realized Chris had covered the "B" in Bruins and it just said "ruins". Cara turned around to tell Chris and noticed that he was on his knee holding an engagement ring in his hands with the BIGGEST smile on his face. Cara was absolutely taken aback and exclaimed "is this really happening to me?!". He said "YES. Will you marry me?". To which Cara (whose breath was still away) said YES xoxo
