What's the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Our ceremony will be taking place outside, so we recommend bringing a coat or jacket to keep warm!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your RSVP.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The average temperature in Evergreen in October fluctuates between 36°F and 57°F. We recommend dressing in layers, packing for cold weather in the morning and evening, but for warmer weather during the day. P.S. Don't forget to pack sunscreen!

Most likely no, however, it is always a possibility.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled! The shuttle will pick up guests staying at the Comfort Suites at 3:45 PM.

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

We will have transportation scheduled to and from the wedding from the Comfort Suites (where we have a hotel block).

Is there parking for the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Yes. The Evergreen Lake House has a public parking lot.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered through Zola as well as Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Williams Sonoma, and Amazon, which are linked through our Zola registry.

Preventing Altitude Sickness

Answer

Not a question, but since a majority of our guests are coming from sea level, we want you to be prepared for the higher elevation. Evergreen sits at 7, 165 feet, which is a much higher elevation than Houston which sits at 105 feet, and Austin at 425 feet. Our #1 recommendation is to drink a LOT of water, both before and during your trip.
