We met way back in English class Freshman year of High School. We had mutual friends so we started hanging out a bunch with others and immediately clicked. For the next seven months we talked until 4am every night via AIM, until Andrew made it official on May 4, 2010. From there, our lives have been full of trips with family and friends, long distance during college, moving many times and many more experiences that make us Andrew & Kristin!

For those that don't know, a very special place in the Hamel family is Hermit Island, the location of the annual camping trip in the summer. Andrew has been going every year since he was born, and Kristin has been going for the past 6 years. The sunsets at Hermit Island are one of a kind and a view you cannot beat. On July 30th, 2020 at Hermit, Andrew asked Kristin if she wanted to go watch the sunset up on the cliff. While up there Andrew proposed!! It was such a special moment, having his family on the beach cheering us on and greeting us with hugs when we came back from the sunset. When arriving home after camping, both families came together to celebrate the happy couple! We could not be more excited for this new chapter in our lives!
