Question

Pre-Wedding Questions

Answer

~

Question

When should I rsvp by?

Answer

To help us with our planning, we ask that you kindly RSVP as soon as possible. If we don't receive your RSVP by the date specified on our invitations, we cannot make any expectations and will have to mark you as "not attending". We need to be able to provide the venue and vendors with a total guest count in a timely manner, we hope you can understand.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

While we would love to include everyone, we would like to keep the day as intimate and personal to celebrate with those closest to us. Therefore, we can only accommodate guests who have been formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you have received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event with the exception of immediate family. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our friends and family get dressed up for our big day. Dress code is formal attire. We encourage neutral and muted color tones and patterns such as black, brown, navy, champagne, burnt orange, maroon, and olive green. Ladies can wear floor-length, tea-length, or midi formal dresses. Gentlemen can wear a suit & tie or sports coat & dress pants. No jeans please! Please reference this Pinterest board for outfit inspiration: https://pin.it/4X4DeZLcw

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

If you are unable to attend, we kindly ask that you indicate your regrets on the RSVP tab at your earliest convenience. This will help us plan accordingly for the celebration. While you'll be dearly missed, we deeply appreciate your well wishes and will hold you close in our hearts!

Ceremony Questions

Answer

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

At this time, we are still finalizing the details of our special day! But, as general guideline, we suggest guests plan to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony starts. This will allow for ample time for parking, seating, and ensuring everyone is settled before the ceremony begins. We will provide an updated timeline under the "Schedule" tab as soon as it's confirmed. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Will I be able to take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present and immersed in the event. We will have a professional photographer capturing the beautiful moments, and we'll be sure to share the photos with you after the celebration. A professional photographer will be present to capture these special moments, and we will be delighted to share the images with you afterward. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation!

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outside?

Answer

We are pleased to share that our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place on the same property, allowing for a seamless and enjoyable celebration throughout the day. The wedding ceremony is planned to take place outdoors, contingent on favorable weather conditions. In the event of unfavorable weather, we will have an alternate plan in place. We kindly recommend checking weather updates closer to the event to ensure you are dressed appropriately for the outdoor setting. The cocktail hour will take place on the spacious covered porch adjacent to the barn, providing a scenic and welcoming setting for guests to socialize. The wedding reception will be held indoors at Zion Hill’s meticulously restored 100-year-old tobacco barn, offering a charming and vintage setting for our celebration. We are honored to bring our vision to life, surrounded by our dearest family and friends, and look forward to sharing this momentous occasion with all of you!

Question

What should I do if I arrive late for the ceremony?

Answer

Should you arrive after the ceremony has commenced, we respectfully request you remain near the venue and refrain from taking your seat until the ceremony has concluded. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we preserve the sanctity of our wedding ceremony!
