Dylan had just started a new nursing job where I was working while in school. One lucky day we met over a patient transport and for the next few weeks were crushing over one another waiting to see each other again. The day finally came and he had his chance, and I bolted the other way! Thank god for Instagram DMs, the nerves of being asked out on a date mid hallway were calmed. It was the start of COVID and everything was shut down, we couldn't even see a movie or go to a restaurant. We ended up having a picnic, went for a drive and talked for hours and hours listening to all our favorite music. We fell in love HARD from that night on...
Life has been so sweet together! We have lived together since 2021 and in March 2022 we purchased a home together. We filled it with two kitties Zora and Tater, the most loving and sweet babies. We travel as much as we can and have been to a lot of places, but our goal is to go international together after the wedding. Skydiving in Arizona, hiking national parks in Utah, dancing and singing in Nashville, snowboarding in Utah, Vegas (uhhh...) and so much more. If we aren't on vacation, all of our friends and family are close by, so we are surrounded by love.
It's been made a tradition that every New Year's Eve we go snowboarding together for the weekend. We were at Granite Peak in Wisconsin, where we had been plenty times before and always loved going. We were having such a great time, Dylan hadn't flown off a ramp and ate snow face first yet. Early on he stopped randomly on the slope to talk with the ski patrol and waved me to keep going. Suspicions were high, but we got on the lift for our last run of the day and I was bummed. About to go down the mountain, Dylan kicked off his board and walked to big open lookout on the right, and there were those damn ski patrol getting photographed on the left. Dylan lead the way, got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together. He had it planned with the patrol to have the whole moment recorded and professionally photographed, it couldn't have been more perfect. It was such a lively moment for us, there was cheering and hugs and support from strangers blessing our future together.
