When life gives you lemons...you make vodka lemonade and get married in your backyard! While it is not what we imagined, we changed our plans and got married in our yard during a pandemic! We look forward our first anniversary, when we can celebrate safely with you, and everyone we love so dearly. Chris and Amber were two ships passing in the night when Chris' lease ended on the 1st floor of 1312 West Cornelia Avenue and Amber's lease on the 2nd floor, began. Amber, as you can imagine, became friends with the house of men living below her and one day a dog, Bridget, and a handsome man, Chris, were visiting their friend Brian, our officiant. Amber came down to say hello, randomly, when Bridget sprinted around the corner and sniffed Amber. Bridget's owner, Chris, shook Amber's hand and Amber immediately knew she had to know him. For about 3 months Amber bugged Brian to get them in touch, but Brian knew his friend and predicted that if it was from Brian or felt forced, Chris would run away. Much to everyone's surprise, Amber was patient (a quality that doesn't grace her top 10 best things about her list). Well, Amber finally got what she wanted when she invited Brian to a Cubs game, very last minute, with 1 extra ticket that Brian could give to "a friend." That friend, she nudged would be Chris and JACKPOT Chris was free that night and only lived a block from Wrigley with Brian! Chris and Amber immediately felt an undeniable connection. After the game, Chris, who never uses social media, messaged Amber on Facebook, thanked her for taking him to the game, gave her his number and said that he'd love to take her out sometime. I guess you could say it was written in the stars and that patience pays off. So in short: Bridget brought them together. Amber felt love at first sight. Brian didn't tell Chris Amber was obsessed and wanted to kiss his face (in the end thank goodness). Amber got tickets to a Cubs suite and knew Brian would invite Chris as his plus one. Chris felt love at second sight. Chris asked for a first, official date. Amber said yes. They dated, decided to move in together. Fell more in love. Chris asked Amber to be his partner for life (10.3.19). Amber said yes. Now they both are ready to say I DO! Welcome to forever.
