Best Man
Colin and Liam have known each other since Liam was born. If you don’t know either of them very well, then it’s obvious that they are brothers. If you know them both, then you probably think they couldn’t be more different. As the tagalong little brother, Liam got to know got to know Colin’s friends pretty well growing up. Though considered shy at a young age by some, he was never too shy to jump in on an active poker game, pickup basketball or movie night with all of them. He may be younger in age than Colin, but Liam is an inch taller and by far the more mature and grown-up adult between the two.
Matron of Honor
Bryse and Meagan have known each other since the 6th grade, but their friendship really started to form when they became roommates their senior year of college. Meagan is Bryse's ultimate hype-girl; always optimistic and up for a good time. She might not be able to stay awake through a movie, but hey, no one is perfect. Bryse is constantly learning from Meagan about patience and acceptance, which Colin appreciates too! These two have often talked about what the future would look like, making big decisions and bouncing ideas off of one another - and wedding planning is no exception as Bryse was recently Meagan's maid of honor. They frequently talk about the future: how their families will grow, what their careers will bring, etc. But the constant will always be their friendship.
Officiant
Officiant & Groomsmen! “Dam-K” and Colin met during Little League and Jr. High, but really became friends in high school through basketball, movies, Acey Ducey and whatever food was sitting around Colin’s parents’ house. As adults, they share a passion for excessive beer drinking, juicy sports bets and still watching those same movies they watched in high school. Bryse wanted Damk to be the officiant of the wedding despite Colin knowing that he’ll do a terrible job at it.
Bridesmaid
Bryse and Alexa met the summer before senior year of college. For anyone who was there at their introduction (or heard Bryse's speech at Alexa's wedding) knows that they bonded over a Nalgene bottle of margaritas and Bryse's leopard print Victoria's Secret swim suit top. It was instant chemistry! These two were virtually inseparable that last year at OSU (Go Beavs!) - they even went dressed in the same outfits to many social functions... On purpose. Don't worry, they've grown out of that phase. There is a huge amount of respect between Alexa and Bryse, both of whom are stubborn, independent women. They're not afraid to challenge each other and they always pick each other up when they need it most (even if they won't admit they need it). They are much more like sisters than best friends.
Groomsman
“Trev” and Colin were little league teammates and quickly bonded over everything sports in Jr. High. While playing basketball and lacrosse together in high school, they could also be found singing along to A Capella music behind closed doors and wondering why they hadn’t lost their virginity yet. How ironic. It’s safe to say that most of the significant and memorable live sporting events Colin has been to, Trev was there and likely planned it. Trev’s patience for finding good value and spontaneity for indulging in a good time is a rare combo. Being friends with Trev, you know that you’ll never know the next adventure is right around the corner.
Bridesmaid
Krista is Bryse's built-in BFFB (best friend from birth). As cousins, they often walk the line between sisters and best friends. Bryse was the needy, younger cousin who HAD to tag along with everything Krista did from softball to learning to ride a bike and even how to build forts in the garage. But, like sisters, that last one back fired on Bryse one day when Krista and her friends decided to lock Bryse in the fort and leave her there... And like best friends, they are each other's confidantes - sharing secrets, stories and always a good laugh. Bryse has learned so much from Krista and truly admires her courage, strength and incredible sense of humor. Krista has been the epitome of an older sister that Bryse never had, and she cannot wait for Krista to stand by her side on the big day!
Groomsman
“Nate Dog” and Colin met during the college years through mutual friends. Nate is down for anything. And I mean ANYTHING! He and Colin bonded over sharing a case of fear-of-missing-out (FOMO) that is unrivaled by most. Nate recently received the coveted “Greatest Person to Ever Graduate From Newberg High School” award, which as we all know has some stiff competition. Colin admires Nate’s vision towards early retirement and his handyman do-it-yourself skills, but above all, he admires Nate’s gigantic calf muscles.
Bridesmaid
Becca and Bryse met at work in late 2015 and, sadly, they did not have an instant connection. For starters, Becca was really hoping that Bryse was a guy... You know, to balance out the heavily female-dominated HR team. But Bryse didn't hold a grudge and slowly they started to bond. It wasn't until Becca was leaving that job that they both realized how much they enjoyed each other's company and had a shared passion of the Bachelor franchise, so they used that as an excuse to see each other weekly... And still do! These two are TOTAL opposites. One is blonde, the other brunette. One is Type A, the other Type B... I dare you to guess which is which... But their differences have created the most incredible bond. Bryse feels very lucky to have a best friend who she can talk shop with too.
Groomsman
Colin and “Dev” quickly became friends in early high school when Dev moved up to Lake Oswego from the Bay Area. Over the years these two have bonded over many things including basketball, karaoke, being Asian and Usher’s dance moves. Dev is so good at social media, that he probably knew this was being written before the website was up. While he might look like a fighter, Dev is actually the ultimate lover. It’s true.
Bridesmaid
Jessi is Bryse's soon-to-be sister-in-law and she feels incredibly grateful that she and Jessi established a friendship so quickly and effortlessly. These two were introduced for the first time while Bryse and Colin were visiting Southern California. Just minutes later Jessi announced that she was pregnant with their second baby! Bryse and Colin immediately started making plans to visit once Baby Lillian had arrived. Bryse and Colin arrived in California about a week after Lilly was born and Bryse was very nervous about being in the way as the new family of four was settling in. Honestly, the timing couldn't have been better and Bryse is eternally grateful for Jessi's hospitality and willingness to talk about literally anything. Bryse is thrilled to have an official sister in Jessi!
Groomsman
Colin and “Kev” not only played hoops together all through high school, but they also ran it back as roommates freshman year at Pomona. As a dominant southpaw, Kev took his talents to the baseball field in college and met his future wife, Kitri, who lived directly across the hallway from them. Kev stayed down in California after college to work and raise a family, but he and Colin pick up right where they left off when Kev makes his annual trip back up to Oregon. Kev, like most people, has 206 bones in his body. Unlike most people, not a single one of his is a mean bone.
Groomsman
Like Colin and Liam, Bryse has known Austin since he was born. Being 9 years older than Austin has had its major perks. For example, when he was a toddler she would hide his annoying toys on high shelves. But all joking aside, the best part of being Austin's older sister is that Bryse has witnessed so many of his milestones - learning to walk, growing out of his sweet raspy voice and now becoming an incredible man. More than anything, Bryse loves that Colin has embraced Austin as a brother of his own since his first dinner with the family. As a matter of fact, they hit it off so well that Austin and Colin are getting an apartment together very soon!
Wedding Planner
Liz and Bryse met shortly after Bryse started working with Becca, but their friendship has truly blossomed while planning for Becca's own wedding festivities. These two kindred spirits have a lot in common - among other things they are both very Type A and love a good Marie Kondo deep clean. But sometimes it's the things you don't share that make a beautiful friendship. For example, Liz and Bryse love to split a case of White Claw because the flavors one doesn't like, the other loves! It's Truly a perfect pairing. (Do you see what I did there?) Anyway, Bryse always knew that she would ask Liz to be a part of their day... And arguably the most important role! Bryse and Colin are sure that Liz's attention to detail and eye for decor will guarantee that their dream day is a reality.
