Our story goes all the way back to middle school, where we sat next to each other in 7th-grade English Language Arts. After that year, we lost touch—we never had classes together in high school. But after graduation, in July 2016, Richard caught Brydie’s eye again, and she decided to reach out to him on Twitter. That message led to our first date on July 9, 2016—hammocking in Little Cottonwood Canyon on a warm summer night. From that moment on, we were inseparable. In October 2016, over wings at Buffalo Wild Wings, Richard officially asked Brydie to be his girlfriend. We went on to attend Salt Lake Community College together and later graduated from the University of Utah side by side. In January 2024, we took the next step and moved in together, and just a few months later, in April, we welcomed our sweet kitty, Norman, into our little family Traveling has always been a big part of our relationship, filling our lives with unforgettable memories and new adventures. So it was only fitting that one of our biggest moments happened on one of our trips. On September 29, 2024—our fourth day in London—Richard planned a night we’ll never forget. After a beautiful dinner overlooking the Thames River and Tower Bridge, he led Brydie down to the riverside. With the city lights reflecting on the water and a soft rain falling around us, he got down on one knee and asked the easiest question Brydie has ever answered—yes! We're best friends who love to laugh together, explore new places, stay active together through bike rides, the gym, and hiking, enjoy camping in the great outdoors, and creating unforgettable memories. Now, we can’t wait to start our biggest adventure yet—getting married in September 2025!
