Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The official start time of the wedding is 4:00 pm. Guests are more the welcome to arrive 30 minutes prior to the official start time. Precessional music will start 20 minutes before the start of the ceremony.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The attire suggestion for Bryce and Chloe’s big day is formal/cocktail attire. Dress pants, polos, sundresses, cocktail dresses, etc. are all great choices! The bride and groom kindly ask that men in attendance steer away from jeans and t-shirts. Anything you feel would fall into that category will be beautiful/handsome!

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All events throughout the day will take place indoors! However the date is set for late July, and there will be a large group of people in attendance. We will try our absolute hardest to keep the temperature down in the reception venue, but summer attire is recommended!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Of course, most Missourians know that weather in our area is unpredictable! The wedding date is set for late July so expect a hot and humid day! In the off chance of rain, all activities and events will be held indoors so don’t worry ladies, the frizzy hair should stay at a minimum!

Question

What will the wedding day timeline look like?

Answer

A rough outline of the big day will have the ceremony taking place from 4:00-4:30 pm. Guests are highly encouraged to make their way to the reception venue by 5:15 pm. The wedding party will arrive roughly around 5:45 pm. Dinner, drinks, and dancing will occur afterward!

Question

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at Stone Chapel on Drury University’s campus. The address and direct link to a map is also on our website under “schedule”. Depending on which hotel you choose to stay at in Springfield, if lodging is necessary for you, the ceremony venue should be no more than a 10 minute drive! The reception venue is located in Fair Grove, MO. Guests will be responsible for their own transportation from the ceremony to the reception venue. It is roughly a 25-minute drive from the ceremony to the reception. There is also an address and direct link to the map for the reception venue under “schedule” on the website.

Question

What type of food/drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

During the cocktail hour, guests will have access to the bar and hors d'oeuvres on their assigned tables. At the reception, there will be side salads, red and white sauce pasta, along with chicken as a protein choice. The non-alcoholic drink selection will consist of water, lemonade, and sweet tea. There will also be a selection of beer, wine, and a few signature cocktail drinks for guests to choose from.
