Our story began on what was essentially a blind date—Alex’s KA fraternity skate night. Bryce was a sophomore living in the Phi Mu house, and Alex was a junior. That night, we hit it off right away, and after a few more dates, we were inseparable. We dated throughout college, making memories at UGA, and when Bryce’s senior year rolled around, long-distance became part of our story. Alex was in Atlanta starting his career, and Bryce stayed in Athens, finishing her degree and applying to medical school. When Bryce started at LSU Medical School in New Orleans, our long-distance routine continued—late Friday night flights (post many anatomy exams) and 48 hour weekend visits. It wasn’t always easy, but every moment together made the distance worth it. When Alex moved to Nashville, the miles became a little shorter, and we started to plan not just our visits but our future together. Now, after years of love, persistence, and building our dreams from afar, we cannot wait to finally start our lives together in the same city. We couldn’t have made it here without the love and support of our friends and family over the years—thank you for cheering us on, making the distance seem smaller, and being there every step of the way. We can’t wait to celebrate with you on June 14th as we begin this new chapter together!
