The saying goes that, “True love always finds a way” For us, it tried and tried to find its way over the course of several years. We grew up in the same area, have a close common friend, and even moments in our life where we were in the same room together and never shared a word. That was until our close friend thought it would be best to “set us up” in February 2022. That is where our paths finally crossed after the years of just missing each other. After sitting at a coffee shop for hours, and several dates following, we knew that something was different, something about being around each other was refreshing, exciting, and pushed us closer towards Jesus. That is where love found its way, and it’s what has brought us to this point. But love doesn’t only find a way, it shows the path. As things between us got serious we knew we were headed towards marriage, and wanted to glorify God in that trajectory. We began studying God’s word together, making it a priority to pray with and for each other, and worship together. We could see so clearly that God’s timing was perfect, and that He so clearly had his hand in the workings of our relationship. Then… love got a little shinier… On September 17th on our six month celebration, I (Bryce) had the perfect plan to ask Kasey to marry me. While Kasey was obviously on to me, she didn’t quite know the scale of what was about to happen. We went to a typical date spot, and were headed out to get ice cream down the street. What Kasey didn’t know was that I had all of our closest friends and family come in to town ready to come out from the background to surprise Kasey. As we walked closer to the ice cream shop, I had planted a friend of mine to take a polaroid of us… Pause here… We try to take a Polaroid on a lot of our dates to tangibly capture the day, so this was not totally out of the ordinary….Resume… As we got into our pose, I got down on one knee and asked Kasey to marry me! The applause came, there was clapping and cheering, and I think “Marry You” by Bruno Mars was playing in the background. But then the crowd of our dearest friends and family appeared and the emotions came flooding. So here we are, attached by invisible strings, love has found its way, our paths have merged, and it’s a good life. We are excited to celebrate that love on April 15th 2023.
