While in high school, the two of us were in a career-based class that required us to go to our off campus technology and career center. In December of 2017, we first introduced ourselves when we took a field trip to UNT for a competition that the school was participating in (little did we know that this was the college we would both attend as a couple a little over a year later!). Fast forward to February of 2018, we went to a second competition, this time in Conroe, TX. During our time there we shared a few small conversations but started talking regularly when Blake messaged Leah on Twitter in March of 2018!

On January 7, 2023, we went to Abilene Christian University to look at the scenery and walk our friend’s dog. Once we reached the sculpture titled “Jacob’s Dream” to take a picture in front of it, Blake got down on one knee!
