Are kids included?
Answer
We kindly ask that you do not bring your kids to any wedding events. With that being said, you are more than welcome to bring them to Charleston and accommodate accordingly!

Do I have to stay at one of the room block hotels?
Answer
Absolutely not! You are more than welcome to choose a different hotel. There are a ton of options. Charleston is also host to many AirBnbs and VRBOs if you prefer that route!

Yes! Everyone is welcome to join us at the Citrus Club (at The Dewberry). Please come for bites, beverages & a beautiful panoramic view of Charleston!

What is the dress code for the Welcome Party?
Answer
Casual, fun & Charleston chic! We will be outside on a rooftop so plan accordingly! Ladies: Bold dresses, fun patterns encouraged! Gents: Sports coat, khakis & button ups

Is dinner included at the Welcome Party?
Answer
We will have plenty of food at the Welcome Party if you want to make a dinner out of it. We will have passed hors d'oeuvres, a few stations, dessert & late night snacks. However, if you would like to stop by and then head out on the town to try one of the many Charleston restaurants, you are welcome to do that!

How do I get to the Rehearsal Dinner & Welcome Party?
Answer
Everything is within walking distance from the hotels but there are plenty of pedi-cabs (bicycle taxis) and taxis if needed. Uber is another great option!

How do I get from the ceremony to the reception?

Buses and/or shuttles will be provided from the church to and from the reception.

Will we be inside or outside?
Answer
Every event is outside except for the wedding ceremony. The Welcome Party does have an indoor bar area that you are welcome to enjoy. The Rehearsal Dinner will take place outside - possibly tented depending on weather. We will be able to enjoy going inside the William Aiken house throughout the evening. The cocktail hour (after the ceremony) will take place at Runnymede and will be on a grass lawn outside. The wedding reception will be in a floored tent.

What will the weather be like?
Answer
We should be hitting the sweet spot on weather! November sees highs in the 60s and lows in the 50s. Hopefully no rain 🤞🏼
