Sukru and I met through a mutual friend at the country music festival, Stagecoach in 2019. At first I thought Sukru was the goofiest young man and I wasn't looking for a relationship. Little did I know, I just met my prince charming. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I couldn't find a ride back home from Stagecoach. Thankfully the night before, Sukru gave me his number. I took a risk and called him. He was already home but insisted on coming back to get me. He drove 4 hours to get this damsel in distress. All this effort for someone he had just met. I had just finished doing an 80's theme live to sell jewelry. I was dressed in a costume, and my hair was crazy along with my makeup. Sukru kept insisting we go to this restaurant in Houston for a date night. He convinced me to shower and dress cute. As we were parking in downtown Houston on Labor Day weekend, Sukru tells me we need to go to the ATM machine. We grab money and are walking down this corridor towards the restaurant. While we are walking I see this strange lady in a hoody standing at the edge of the street looking at us, so I naturally keep my eye on her. As I am turning around to ask Sukru how far the restaurant is, I hear "Baby Will you Marry Me" and I see Sukru down on one knee with the biggest smile, tears of joy, and the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. Immediately I say no! what! what is going on! Is this real?! Of course I said yes after the initial shock! The strange lady was our photographer! See You In October!
