PREFACE: As a freshman at OSU, Dymon and I had not yet met, and I was coming out of a break up. As I sat crying in my car one day, I had a message come into my mind that I believe was straight from God. It said, "I know you're hurting, but you will have a love far better than this. But it won't be for awhile." I instantly had peace and began thanking God for my future blessing and present struggling. Fast-forward 4 years, on the first day I drove into Stillwater for my senior year. While at a stop light on Monroe, another message: "This is the year." I shrugged it off thinking I just wanted it to be the year and was just making it up. 2 weeks later, I met Dymon. We met at Aspen Heights swimming pool on a beautiful September Saturday just after school began. Dymon walked up to me and questioned why I wasn't in the pool - I wasn't trying to get my hair wet, people! Time after time, he would get out of the pool, walk to the end of my chair and say, "Get in the pool! You're lame." I eventually conceded and what I thought would be an hour of sunbathing, turned into 5 hours of conversation with Dymon. He kindly took me home, and we continued our friendship for a couple of weeks. It was the night of my sorority's date party that I started falling for Dymon. After a less than ideal evening with a different date, I ran into Dymon. Again, he offered to take me home, seeing I was clearly not enjoying myself. I was locked out of my house, so Dymon offered his bed, and he would sleep on the couch (such a gentleman!!!). He did just that, and as he pulled the covers over me before he went to the couch, he kissed me. It was over. I was in love. Seriously! The next day I told my roommate that I would marry him, and well... :) From long distance while I went to OU for PA school, to him moving to Houston for a year before I joined him, we have made it through it all, and it has always been EASY. We are truly best friends, bar hoppin' buddies and teammates. NOW LET'S GET MARRIED!!!
